In Sarasota and Charlotte Counties you have may have seen the huge trucks driving around collecting at the curbs.

Sarasota County

Sarasota County has a FAQ website set up with specific information about collection zones, debris map & missed pickups:

However, one of the main points you will see is that “County staff and the debris contractor cannot/will not enter private property to remove debris”. 

This holds true for both Charlotte and Sarasota Counties. We offer debris removal services and would love to give you a quote.

Charlotte County

Charlotte County residents can drop off storm debris from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday-Sunday (trailers cannot exceed 12 feet in length).

West Charlotte Mini-Transfer & Recycling Facility (Unlimited visits until further notice),

Charlotte County Landfill (Fees Apply)
The landfill is open for business and residential waste.
Monday-Sunday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Current fees (credit cards only):
County Residents: $39.28 per ton (minimum charge is $5)
Out-of-County: $78.54 per ton (minimum charge is $17)
Tires: $125.46 per ton in-county and $141.82 per ton out-of-county
Asbestos: $109.10 per ton (in-county asbestos only)
Special Handling: $50 per event
